Almost free (e.g scrap value) Rover 2000 TC

Postby pbottomley » Fri Sep 15, 2006 11:49 am

well I havent got space for it, but I have in my hands (well almost) a rover P6 2000 TC, for the price of its scrap value.

Its got a fab interior, good looking bodywork... will need a top coat of paint, welding needed to inner sills and rear inner archs (at minimum, as I cannot get to see one side of it nor under it)... been parked up 25+ years One owner from new (a good friend)

The car is garaged, but the garage is very narrow and at the top of a very steep drive, so once the car comes out the garage thats it. In fact as the brakes are possible stuck I suspect it will roll down the drive across the road and into a wall !!

Does anyone have space for it? I suspect in next two weeks its off the the scrap yard and to be crushed up, shame as its got to be worth twice that in parts alone, good outer wings , full interior all the gauges, twin carbs, etc..... :?

Hinckley just north of Coventry... Its one of those jobs where if it comes out of the garage it has to be taken. no second chances, as the drive is very steep... we are talking a one in four ! :D :D

You can't save them all sweetie.
Three cars, two fire engines, one steam roller, a wheelchair, and various sized hammers.... what could go wrong?!
