How to wire in a lighter socket?

Dear all, I did this with my last car. But underneath my steering wheel, next to the washer buttton, there seems to be a blank button hole there, which looks like it is capped off as standard. Could somebody tell me if I can pop that blank cover off and fit a lighter socket. Also if I can, then how should I wire it in. I am not too confident with mechanics and electrics but I will give it a go. Please help. Jimmy.

hello yes you can pop it out you should find a spare red/white for live and white/green for lights also dont forget the earth
