My 1971 HC rear window demist element appears faulty, having tested for power which has lit a test lamp when connected to the cable connecting to the element, is there any way to repair these demisters, i can't see any breaks in the element, any advice would be great, as I don't want to replace the glass if poss, cheers , vivapete3

You can get conductive glue, and other stuff designed for the purpose, but for that to be any use you've got to find the break.

Hi thanx for that , do have conductive glue, can only be a break in the element (if power getting thro) which is preventing it operating , right?, will analyse closely, cheers, vivapete3.
