This is from memory.....
If you have 2 wires coming out of the bulkhead, one with a large spade terminal, and one with a small one, then you need a coil with a ballast resistor. The large terminal goes direct to the + terminal on the coil, and the small one goes to the same terminal, but through the ballast resistor.
If you have only one lead from the bulkhead, then this goes to the + terminal on the coil.
The connection to the distributor/contact breaker goes to the negative terminal of the coil.
This applies to negative earth cars. If your car is positive earth, then you reverse the coil connnections.
