Cleaning carpets

Postby chrisdunham » Sun Mar 21, 2010 3:03 pm

Not sure if this is the right area, if not please move!

Does anyone have any tips for cleaning carpets... mine are currently removed from my HB at the moment, I have given them a damn good hoovering but i want to clean them really as i think there's probably 43yrs of sadness in them. Would a handheld shampooer be best, or just soak them in the bath with some washing detergent and a good rinse afterwards?

Any help would be grand

Soaking in a bath might make it a bit tight when it comes to rinsing your hair ? :nerd:
