Rear wheel arches

Postby Icedmunkie » Tue Apr 03, 2012 2:08 pm

I have too repair my rear wheel arches as the lip and curve before the lip is shot. Can you get repair panels? Or has anybody on here repaired them before and can explain how? I would rather putting metal back in as filler was used before.

There are repair panels around, they crop up on eBay from time to time. If it's only the last part of the curve and the flat section, and it's not around the entire edge, you could probably make repair sections without too much trouble. The repair sections were designed to fit over the existing wheelarch shape, so it's not quite the same, the curves aren't quite as "tight". There were some new ones available from the DSG a few years back which had been made as the same profile as the wing rather than to fit over them, but there's no stock left, you'd have to find some from somewhere.
