Boot seals for an HB?

Postby yoeddynz » Sat Apr 21, 2012 10:35 pm

My local rubber supplier has a boot seal that almost works but doesn't have the tiny 3mm deep slot that goes over the lip. The one they stock is sourced from Scott's old rubber in oz. see 260.057...

But it does not have the little slot that would hide the metal edge.
Any ideas? I have had a quick look on woolies but no luck there.

Looking for same for my HC.

Remember Scott (OpelScott) got replacements on his last HB project might be worth a PM to him?

You mean Scott's old rubber? From oz? It doesn't have the little slot. That's whats wrong with that one. I have to keep hunting...

If someone can get me a good sample then I will get some made after the screen rubbers are done.
Could someone also measure the length required, I don't have an HB to hand.
