door/window seals

Postby escort89 » Sun Jul 08, 2012 8:01 pm

At coventry auto jumble I bought replacement window seals from one of the club members.
As i have just come round to fitting them, I had a problem.
the clips that I was given & told to fit, DONT fit...or they are not for a HC..& definately not for use with door chrome... :(
The return flange that they clip to is deeper than the clips provided. :|
I have had to fix them to the door chrome first then line them up in the original holes.
anybody fitted these to their car?? had any problems with them??

Came up with a better solution for chrome strips when replacing the door to window weather strips...

Simply mached up the chrome strip to the weather strip, and where the holes where in the chrome, drilled through the weather strip. Then threaded small thing guage cable ties. and trimmed the ends.

Sometimes, I wonder why I bother, and then for one fleeting moment things will go right for a change.
