Windscreen chrome trim

Help! I am about to embark on changing my windscreen chrome trims, but have read that the back trim is different? I thought it was just made of one long flat trim and then a separate peice that goes round the sides and top....

Basically my question is, if I buy the correct profile trim off the roll, can I fit it to the front AND rear? (I have the relevant joining pieces)
