VIN location on late HC

I need to apply for a logbook for my latest viva purchase and need to put the VIN on the form. My 72 HC has it on the dash but this late one doesnt. Where is it located on later cars?

I thought it was still in the top of the dash. My Sportshatch is a bit later, and it still has the plate on the top of the dash, and my parts book is from 1977 and talks about the plate still being there.

Do you also have the SPI plate on the offside inner wing, just in front of the battery tray? If that's present, the VIN should be on there too, just before the colour codes.

On my '79 HC it's located on the drivers B post near the striker plate.

Yeh i've got that one,i wrote it down but wasnt sure if it was the right code. Although it does say VIN in front of the number!
