HB door gaps

Postby rizzo » Fri Nov 04, 2016 1:34 pm

afternoon, chaps, got the HB out today and put the doors on so i can align the front before weld up, what i need to know is What are the HB door gaps like on yours? im sure i read somewhere that the gaps are generally pretty poor just need confirmation.
They are still as they were prior to all the work so far, ie door bottom gaps largest, rear gaps differ side to side, and doors dont fully align with body when shut, either at the top or the bottom protruding slightly.
ive no idea yet what lurks under the door paint so it could just be years of knocks bangs and todging. :D

They are a bit haphazard on my Brabham Bill and when I read up how to adjust them I decided to leave well alone  It was talking about bending hinge brackets and the like

I like your adjusting Chris i think the front wheel came off the deck lol, ive done that myself before i took the doors off but with a lump of wood and a trolley jack.
Blimey Fred have you got a brabham aswel? you must be another serial viva collector, i viewed a GT last night and the gaps were pretty good to be honest certainly better than mine, im not too sure i fancy batting the hell out of the hinges, we'll see.
