Cheers, I'll dig out some numbers and PM you a list in case you have factory keys for those.

I did once find a chap at a local car show who was cutting keys and had some Vauxhall-stamped blanks. Should have thought to try to get some blanks from him, I've never seen him since.

When you have looked all over the workshop, in all the "safe" places and all the places where its improbable but maybe and then just when you have locked up got in the car to go home, for some strange reason i just looked in the centre console of my car ------------- MY VIVA KEYS !!!!!!!!!! What dumb *Bleep* put them there, must have been the wife, could not possibly have been me

Anyway, crisis over, I now have keys and had another set cut today just in case, Thanks to everyone for their advice etc

Ive heard about the landrover defender locks (later model) fitting the HB so thought i would give it a go, i have a new handle so thought i'd try that first, yes the lock did indeed just click in. but the only thing is the lock size is slightly taller and moves in and out of the button.

not happy with this i stripped another down to see what could be done.

Oh, that's weird - that's what I used on my Sportshatch and they all fit well, in the doors and tailgate. The only one that didn't match was the locking fuel cap.

Came apart ok, having this handle i had no keys with it, not a problem the lock still comes out without.

a press of the pin and a push it came straight out

you can see the difference in the lock.

this shows the new lock stuck out, it will push in but comes out with the key

The solution i came up with was a rubber o ring

sorted

cant go wrong for the cost off three barrels, cheap as chips

I see, so you use the O-ring to hold the lock in place in the barrel?

No the o ring just takes up any movement in the lock, it fits as it should, ie the button clicks in :D
