Crecian White/Grecian white?

Just getting ready to paint the HA van. I am led to believe it is "Crecian white"....I know there were only a few colours that they were painted in...Is this the correct colour?...Obviously I know you cannot see my van but am asking purely about the name of the white used?

What year is it ian... my 68 roma is grecian white... but I've a 77 scrapper which is cargo white!!

Its an 83!

Definitely cargo white then...... chassis no will tell you what it was when new....
Cargo white is a much whiter white.... grecian has a creamy almost ivory tinge...

5WH is cargo white.
Should be on chassis plate.....

Yes, Grecian White was an early colour, and certainly more cream than white. I tried to get some but found it nigh impossible, although some suppliers will make it up for you, but it's expensive.
O.K. if you are doing a whole vehicle, but not for odd panels or repairs as it won't match the original paint which probably will have faded.

I forgot about total originality and went for Glacier White, and aerosols, which is a current Vauxhall colour and readily available.
Did it panel by panel by panel and it came up pretty good too, though I say it myself!!, but not as good as it could be.

Looking to get a full re-paint in the spring with two pack GlacierWhite, by someone who knows what they are doing!!!, so should look a lot nicer for the summer shows.

Yea ian I'm fairly sure that's cargo white.... the colour code is seperate from the main chassis no.... possibly on another plate......
