Air vents

Postby vauxhallbitz » Sun Feb 19, 2017 10:48 am

Can someone please tell me how to remove the "eyeball" style air vents on my 1975 Viva E?

The felt surround has come out and needs to be refitted, I have had a good look and cannot see how to get it out!!!

You need to remove the whole dashboard as the vents are held in from the back by 2 nuts 1 also holds the dash in the other just holds the vent hope this helps

The vents have to be dismantled too. They are glued together, albeit not too well, and have to be re-glued when put back together. I remember having to put a self tapper in mine instead of glueng as it was more secure.
