Mud flaps for 1256 1978 GLS

Anyone know of a good quality source....possibly with Griffon emblem on?

The Viva mudflaps were designed and shaped specifically for the Viva. Some do come up on eBay from time to time. Or you could make your own, like I did, from black polyureathane board that sign makers use. Very easy to cut to shape and a lot more ridgid than the original rubber. The sign maker I bought the board from also made the Griffins for me too.

Correct, I do know his contact details and they are sold. They were new in the original unopened packaging so went for a 'concours' (whatever that is) Snoot rebuild.

I could draw around an original, but I'm not sure what I could then do with the template - scanning it won't work as it's bigger than A4, and for the same reason printing the resulting scan would be an issue for many.

Post? A bit of old wallpaper with a front and rear flap drawn on it wouldn't cost much I'm sure.

Thanks for your support... I am still trying to source some vinyl...closet I got is a hardware shop but so thick it wouldn't flex ..I think it was plastic not vinyl!
Pattern would help and a copy of image ... is it a sign maker that did it ?

If you can't find suitable plastic sheet you could use lorry rubber mudflaps and cut your shapes from them.

I used some rectangular vinyl sheet from Demo Tweeks - they sell as mud flaps for rallying

Think the sign board you are talking about is foamex/foamalux. Easy to work with but becomes quite brittle when cold. If you need a vector setting up for cutting these, just send me a full size paper drawing and i can scan and digitise them for you :D this could then be taken into any sign company with a cnc router and cut from the file.

these are the ones I used -m there is no way the material is going brittle as I see it - it is very flexible - its a bit of a blank canvass but you have to put your own shape to it
