A spot of arch rolling...

Postby retrocarclub » Sat Sep 30, 2006 3:54 pm

Today I went out to inspect my new Viva and have a prod at the rear wheel arch rust.

To cut a long story short, the rear of both rear arches (where mud flaps had been fitted) are now rather 'rolled' back:

The culperate, with most of the wheel arch still attached!

Is this a filler (bodge) job or can I get hold of replacement repair panels?

Cheers.

Ouch! That would be tricky to make from scratch. Fill it up with fiberglass filler or even more easy; use ducktape until you find a new wheelarch to weld in.
Why fight for a ball when we can play with cars..?!!

Wheelarch repair panels have been remanufactured and are available from DSG spares, maybe from other places too. They're not cheap, though, so maybe keep your eyes peeled at autojumbles etc.

 Thank you, I was actually planning to join the club, but I was interested to see if anywhere similar to Hadrian Body Panels did them.
