With this attachment you can join thin gauge metal as little as 0.9mm. A pulsating Action with a current reduction diode lowers the amperture, enabling you to weld thin gauge steel with relative ease. It uses ordinary I.6mm or 2.00mm (for thicker metal) arc welding rods.
Needs 50 – 70 amps from your arc welder and a N° 9 to N° 12 lens in your face shield.

Ive never seen one of these before, or heard of the term "amperture"

personally Id be wary, I use a mig for car body stuff and Ive got a Tig welder for the thicker stuff and for doing stainless and ally, but I suppose If youve already got an Arc welder then it may be worth a go...

sorry, just read that back to myself and realised its no help at all. 8)

can you weld? if not then no. stick welding is very hard to do on thin metal you will be better off getting a mig welder

i can arc and gas weld, but i get into problems with the speed of wire and setting up the amps on a mig, ok practice more would be the answer but i dont really have anywhere to do it.
all my welding is done in the garden and the weather is bad..

If you can do gas welding confidently then you are more than half way there for operating a TIG.
Not suggesting you get one as are very expensive,( 2 grand for mine plus the gas from BOC plus the bottle rental plus the refill charges plus delivery, deep breath, plus vat  .
Just a suggestion that if you ever get the opportunity to try one you'll find it great fun. Ally, stainless, tin and steel. :D

Boyd :)
Please don't sell me a Viva. I'll just ruin it.
