Has been discussed at length before, have a search through the forums. The standard size is an 038 but there are bigger alternatives.

Type 038, HD is 015.

I tried the Bosch B33 but it was too tall so I got a Numax 038.

Think you can probably use a 063 as well, just turn it round the other way as terminals are opposite to what we need, but certainly a 035 or 015 are fine.

I tried a 063 on an HC and it was no good at all unless i wanted to make up new battery cables

Thanks guys, can't see anything listed at euro car parts so i'll try elsewhere, they often have a sale though so ideal to buy a good quality one.

After alot of searching they all seem to have the positive on the left and not the right, do the leads reach before I go and order the wrong one?

Positive on left is correct, as the battery sits in backwards - terminals nearest the wing rather than engine.

This is the one I bought: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201416338736? ... EBIDX%3AIT

I was going to buy this Hankook one but they wouldn't deliver to Aberdeenshire... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282076741668? ... EBIDX%3AIT

Hi, I've got an 015 fitted to my HC Firenza and got it from Tayna Batteries with no problems at all.
