puttin in a hb engine near 20 more horsed lol just thinkin of being able to get parts they tuff to git here

Interesting. Is this just for brand loyalty? There are many lighter more powerful options - Suzuki/ Miata etc. I have also seen where (with some machining) Motorcycle calipers have been substituted - much much lighter!

One of the things that I have been very very curious about is that you can buy adapter kits for a Suzuki Samurai transmission to bolt on a number of front wheel drive vehicles - notably VW engines.

The fellow I got a huge number of GT parts from wants the engine to put into a Caterham 7 clone - While it is a slant 4 like the Lotus, I think he is crazy - twice the weight and half the power of almost every other option.

Oh, and of course - a rotary engine - choice of MG maniacs everywhere!
