thanks for mentioning the rubber piece on the fork - are these available?

Can't imagine they would be, though it seems a simple enough part to knock up something suitable. It's just how to hold the bell-housing end of it in place that I can't quite visualise, other than to drill and tap holes around the hole and put a metal frame around the rubber edge.
