So, lousy picture but, it seems to me like there is a pilot bushing in there - certainly looks like brass.

thoughts?

Your engine is supposed to have a brass bush so that is normal.

Yep that's the spigot bush. So you haven't lost it. As long as it's in good condition you should be good to go.
