Radiator

Postby Mike Attew » Mon Jul 23, 2018 8:26 pm

In this weather my car is running near the hot mark and the radiator doesn't look the best so I was wondering is there an improved or conversion type fitted by anyone preferably with a double core? The present one on my car is a single core. I can't actually see any about either on line.

Mine was running hot beginning of June, I took the radiator off and gave it a good flush with a hose and fitted an electric fan on a switch. It did the job.

To my knowledge Vauxhall fitted a double core as standard and some 'budget' replacement rads were single core. When I called with Fred last week he showed me a 'budget' recored rad which he took in as an exchange for one of the Club spares re-cored rads.

Give Fred a shout and hopefully he can sort you out.

Mine has been running hot, it's a single core rad with plastic headers. Ordered a proper one from Fred.

Same as the one on mine, I found a twin core old one in my spares and cleaned out so trying that at present.
