Vauxhall Service Manual says 74Nm (55lb ft) Haynes manual says exactly the same but only where Hylomar is used, nothing about Wellseal.

Confusing???

I must have an early Haynes as it states use Wellseal on early engines and torque head bolts to 43 but they may have made an error in the early editions. I am going for 49 myself as my Autobook manual states this.

Just to throw a spanner in the works, there are three differing types of head bolts, and each has a differing setting, this is possibly where various number are being banded around?
