Vauxhall viva ha running rich and not idling when warm

Hi hope someone can help my 1964 viva ha is running rich and won't idle when warm. Have serviced carb and altered timing and also adjusted idle mixture several times. Does anyone have any ideas?

What carb and type do you have?

I hsve a solex on standard ha engine

Spark plugs sooted up have changed them but need to check again

Check the mixture screw isn't in too far., or the fine point isn't damaged!
Turn the fast running jet up a bit and the mixture screw out until even running.
If still the same, open the carb up and check emulsion tube and jets are not blocked, and the throttle diaphragms are not cracked or split, although you do say you have serviced the carb!
