Viva/Firenza rack is not the same as Chevette, totally different. I have a catalogue here from Europa Specialist Spares, its a couple of years old, but they still list quick racks for a Chevette. Matt.

No doubt it very much. Viva british design, Chevette adapted Opel (German) design. Front suspension similar to look at but nothing interchanges at all. >From what i remember of Chevettes they use a Cam Gears type rack with a screw adjustable damper, whereas Vivas use a sprung nylon damper. Viva rack has a long shaft, Chevette one is quite short. Matt.

You can get a quickrack kit (2.5 turns) for a chevette from TJ motorsport - www.tjmotorsport.co.uk. Iirc they're about 95 quid + P&P.

While reading a recent issue of retro cars magazine i noted that one of john sharps cars is fitted with a modified escort quick rack, don`t know whats involved though but escort racks are available just about everwhere.
