OK cheers mate really want the best of both worlds from my viva, but i can always change the engine to something oldskool at a later date, but i know what you mean about carbs there's just something about the noise.

Throttle bodies on the Zetec ??? dont think i'll start on that one.

I'd recommend you get hold of some early copies of both "Practical Performance Car" and "Retro Ford" magazines - both have several features on such engine swaps. Admittedly they're not usually into Vivas, but they do talk about what gearboxes to fit, what sumps are around, and so on.
