Looks like the Rover conversion is pretty cool too

The mounts and crossmember came out quite nice thanks, I have an old 5.9l Mopar with reverse pattern box in the workshop but there was no way that would go in without some serious chassis work (it was putting out nearly 650 BHP when it was on the dyno) The Pinto seemed a good choice as it is going to be very much a daily drive as the engine and box was just taking up space in the workshop so the Pinto became the choice, more probably because my son has his eye on the Mopar for his Capri and i gradually saw it all his way!!!!!

Looking good, i had 1600 x-flow in mine for a short time mated to a type-9, didn't have to mess with the trans tunnel though, using a gearbox crossmember pretty much like the one you have the 'box fitted just fine. gear lever messed with the hand brake though, so i shortened it and moved it t one side.

Then i took it out and fitted a slant as the x-flow didn't feel right :)

The handbrake has been moved as I couldn't select 2nd gear, Starting the rewire today, fingers crossed I can get all the cables run and in place ready for connection. Will try and get a few pictures up later on

Started mocking up the centre console, can't finish wiring without knowing where the switches etc will be. All the lighting etc etc now done and working, just the gauges to mount in the new GT surround, wipers, heater and washers to wire then back onto the engine, finish the console, carpet, MOT then drive the *Bleep* off of her.

Wiring almost done now, new steering boss arrived this morning, will see how it fits with the new stalks next week.

Target to have it MOT'd by the end of January

engine just getting up to operating temperature when some water started to appear from near the heater, the cable operated valve by the heater matrix started to erupt with scalding water coming out of the top. Anyone have a HB heater matrix?????
