That is an odd air filter arrangement. Looks like the back plate and intake spout have been removed and just the cover has been fitted back to front?

It's 1970 original. Exactly as above, a coat of oil to preserve and nothing else. Who would have imagined we'd end up trying to preserve things from 1970... like our childhood and youth (wry grin!)!

Just realized the side stripe is different to the ads. yes the back is missing but front looks original.

The blue one i bought has the stripes running down the front other than that it looks exactly the same.
Have a look at the blue one on previous forums

The stripe is different between MK1 & Mk2 GTs, the Mk1 stripe runs down the front of the wing and the MK2 finishes at the top like the one in the picture
