I believe that Fred has filters in stock and you could buy a few spare for the price of one of those.

Hi all, what have I missed here, filters getting rare?? I've not had any trouble getting hold of suitable oil filters and use one for a Frontera 2.4

We're talking about OHV cartridge filters here, not OHC canister ones.....they almost grow on trees....

It is not that difficult to find ohv filters either. Probably not stocked everywhere but most major manufacturers seems to list them.

Yes, and can recommend the flexolite adaptors. Had one on all the 1256cc engines I've had, and saves no end of time and hassle.

The Halfords HOF203's fit, same as those used on the OHC engines.
