Interesting conversation today

Fellow dropped by the house to pick up something (do you have a freecycle where you are - where you can post things you want to give away for free?)

At any rate opened the garage door and the fellow starts asking about the car - pull back the cover and he starts reminiscing - says - this is a GT isn't it? the good one - and starts telling me about a friend who drag raced one (stock) back in the day - at the same time he raced a Plymouth Fire Arrow - Celeste? with a 2.6 engine.

Fascinating. considering that it increasingly looks like only about 300 cars came to Canada these were pretty long odds.

I've had meetings like that, including meeting the salesman who sold my car when it was new ... and a guy who recognised the number and asked if it originally had been orange with a black roof, he'd remembered the car passing him each morning on his way to primary school.....
