Insurance for modified cars

Postby Greytop47 » Wed Mar 21, 2018 2:09 pm

I thought it might be useful to let other members aware that RH insurance specialist insurers are happy to insure
cars such as my highly modified Viva ( the dreaded convertible with the Red top engine ) with a high agreed value (£10K).

Maybe I am daft but at £194 pa I did not think that was too bad as :

1 They will refund on a daily pro-rata basis if the cover is surrendered mid term . ( useful for me as I am
considering a sale )

2. They will offer a part return of premium if you take off road for say Winter storage.

They are on 03330433911

Good to know that there are some good sensible insurers out there. I have my fleet, including the Firenza, on one policy with a total agreed value near £30K for £150 or so for 5000 miles total on all cars - and break down cover too. They will also allow all the cars to be driven at the same time but by named drivers only. Local N Ireland firm with headquarters 6 miles down the road, so I can knock on the door if something goes wrong LOL...
