Both front wings have been replaced with steel high tops from the other Adrian Miller. I found the Firenza rims on eBay, they have been refurbed and have modern Michelin rubber on them. Various bits have come from or been advised on by Fred :)

Thanks, your advice on 12v ignition will be followed once I get it back. Got the parts already :)

(Original steels will be kept in case I want to swap back some time)

Spotted the wing mirrors were not on, so had a chat with the body shop.

We've decided to go with door mirrors instead since steel high tops are rarer than rocking horse droppings and these ones are freshly painted. Going for chrome rectangular ones made by Tex. As to the radio ariel, I prefer my own play lists and am going to fit a classic looking head unit that is MP3 capable.

I've been using a standard FM radio with a £12.99 transmitter from Amazon which links via BlueTooth to my phone and then FM transmission to the FM radio. Works treat and gives me hands free calls too. You still need an FM aerial but a small stick on one on the base of the windscreen will work fine. It's a lot cheaper than the classic looking headsets I've seen and the transmitter can be easily swapped from car to car.

I know the type of device you're talking about, I have one with duel USB ports (one to charge the phone and one for a memory stick) for when I'm driving a works car.

Bought one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Classic-Retro-Car-Stereo-Head-Unit-Radio-Player-Bluetooth-MP3/123064775772?hash=item1ca73b745c:g:iwoAAOSw0hRZcg5i six months ago. Plan to use an SD card and plug phone charger into the USB :)

Pointers to where you got the ariel though would be appreciated!

This type of thing is OK for areas with a strong signal, but there are better costing quite a bit more.
A simple ebay search 'windscreen aerial' or 'windscreen antenna' will throw up loads of options.

Another slightly-period option is a cassette adapter if you've got a head unit that will take cassettes. Comes with a 3.5mm jack to plug into the music source, and the cassette slips into the head unit. Last one I bought (but haven't tried) was £1 in B&Q.

Thanks for the pointers on antennae, I didn't drill the hatch for one so it'll have to be something that doesn't need a hole.

What is in there is a radio which seems to power up but I can't find any speakers............

I have a pair of pod mounted Pioneer speakers I'm going to try and mount without making any holes, I also have a Pioneer active bass unit to hide under the back seat to give some body ;)

There is now a Bluetooth version of that adaptor which doesn't have any wire attached.
