Good Evening All

question time

Does the rear wheel arch chrome spats go as far down as to touch the bottom flange of the sill.

I am guessing they do, but asking before I drill the holes.

Thanks

Ian

There should be a cut out piece that lines up with the strip on the sills, that will give you the correct position.

Hi
Thanks for the reply,

I require to drill holes for the sill trims as well, may have to wait till M.H. to take some pics and measurements

Regards

Ian

If I recall correctly, the sill trims have tapers at each end to fit against the curve of the wheelarch, so it should be possible to get a reasonable line-up by locating the sill trim at a level where it meets both arches snugly.

There are 2 types of spat and two types of sill trim. The older type has a cutout in the spat for a sill trim that is straight the whole length of the outside edge and tapers out on the inside at the ends to suit the wheel arch shape both front and back. This type of sill trim overlaps the spat.

The later type of spat does not have a cutout and it pairs up with a shorter sill trim that is straight the whole length of the inside edge and the outside edge curves in to meet the wing before it reaches the spat.

Good Evening

The spat i have tried has the cut out and i can get a reasonable fit by lining it up, I have 2 sets of sill trims, not sure of the difference by looking at them, There is plenty to keep me busy at the moment, so think I will wait till M.H. and get some measurements and a few pics.

Best Regards Ian

This might help the trim goes on the sill level with the bottom of the door frame
