That's the one, it did have a different reg for a few years, AWJ920M, but GUF is it's original reg and the one it has again now.

That's why we couldn't find it in the register...... It was under AWJ 920M. Was that a private number and transferred?

The previous owner to me put AWJ onto the car. It was the reg number of his grandfather's (I think) Viva, and they'd kept it after the car died and transferred it to the estate when he got it. When I bought the car he retained it and the car reverted to it's original number. I would've thought it should've been on the register as GUF though as I was a club member when I had the car.

Your assumption is perhaps a logical one assuming the Membership Sec has time to sort out vehicles that members own but are not in the register thus passing on new vehicles to the register to Register Administrator - however this is not always the case as maintaining the membership register is a time consuming activity in its own right baring in mind that we have circa 300 members
All help in the administration and running of the club would be gratefully received :P

Sorry, didn't mean it to sound like a criticism, I thought it had been discussed when I got the car. I'd love to help run the club, but I'm not actually a member anymore
