I really like that car. Very original and in good overall condition plus a big Slant 4 to help it along. I trust you will have many happy miles in it. :)

Once in can get the bonnet open, release cable has pulled out, I’m going to put in LED bulbs into the
headlight. Easily swapped back. Also plan to add a rear number plate surround with built in parking sensors. I’ll do something about the audio and then leave everything else alone :)

When I spoke to Fred about it he said a few people were sniffing around so I took a half day the following day and came to saw the car. I agreed to buy it and then showed Fred some of my IT skills by not only doing the ownership and taxing on-line but also paid him in full on-line.

Whilst I was finishing that up someone else called to see the car and Fred told them they were too late :D

Last night in Guildford a Golf GTI pulled up alongside me. I saw him edging at the lights itching to get through ahead as the two lanes reducing to one. I left him standing

Going forward I'll just let the other guy go but I'll know I could take them if I wanted too ;)

A well set up 2300 slant 4 is no slouch.

Where I find it satisfying is when more modern cars follow you out to pass a slow moving lorry on the climbing lane and find themselves left behind or struggling to keep up, especially when you pull in and keep accelerating, stranding them on the outside in your wake.

If anyone has a spare centre console switch for a Viva SL2300, GLS, Magnum or similar please let me know what you want for it. Thanks.

I assume one of yours is intermittent in it's operation. They can be taken apart and serviced very easily. A clean, a bit of Vaseline as a lubricant and reassembly should see it working OK.

The centre fog light one is missing, there is an after market switch but prefer original :)
