It seems some clubs were unhappy about returning to Billing next year, and I know some people were dissatisfied with Market Harborough due to its lack of proper facilities.

So the VBOA have sourced another nearby venue with some proper facilities - which seems reasonable.

I note Mitch's point about the event now being open to the wider public and not just to clubs, but hasn't it always been that way? I mean no one has ever needed to be a club member to turn up, pay a tenner and drive in?

Personally, unless I'm missing something, I don't see a reason not to support the move to Sywell Aerodrome as a sensible improvement over Market Harborough. :)

Some would do well to listen to what Redfirenza says - there are lots who stand on the side-lines and" throw bricks" - there are few who actually put some time in and try and organise something for the enjoyment of the membership. For those who are members I will continue the reasoning on the members area. posting.php?mode=post&f=47
I have been to Sywell Pistons and Props and have had fabulous time on both occations - the facilities there are really good with 2 hangers which could hold a bar and cafe facility and the other the Autojumble. I am happy to go there again.

I agree Fred, I wonder how many of the ones who are so vocal about the change of venue on FB are paid up members of any club let alone people who help at club events?
