Very sad indeed Fred. Some of the Interior can be saved along with the dash and Speedo plus steering wheel. 4 hub caps, the door handles, tail lights, running gear and all the glass too !!

Tonight's task consisted of breaking into the boot to uncover the supposed treasure lurking inside. A prise open with the crowbar and a flat head screwdriver to turn the latch soon saw the boot "spring" open. Not much by way of a floor but there is an intact tail light cover, two good taillights and a boot lock plus a tin of putty from many moons ago.

I also came across the towbar fitted to the back of the viva which I wasn't aware of. Was a towbar a factory option or an aftermarket job ?

The wheel brace is also still in the boot and has become part of the carpet that lay on the floor. Also found two mats that match the Interior colour lying in the boot which may have sat in the footwells in the back of the car ?

The tow bar was probably an aftermarket fitment, it looks like a Dixon Bates one I had on one of my cars many years ago. The wheel brace is not a Viva one, but looks BMC ish?
I reckon a young man of your talents should be able get that on the road in a week or two.....
