Whenever i have rang him in the past Fred it took several attempts to get him too answer, i believe the phones not in the workshop hence the full mobile number request

You'd imagine that if he's actually involved in the making of the springs, he won't be answering either phone when he's actually doing that so leaving a message would probably be the sensible option.
