Hello all.

I've tried to compare my chassis plate codes to the ones listed on the website but think that because the codes are UK and my model is Canadian there is some missing info.

Chassis Number is HAD5186908 with 39,426km original!

I've attached a pic, sorry for the difficulty reading, best I could clean it up. Trying to figure out what all the codes are in terms of options and confirm colour code.

Best I can make out is:

HAD?0 L ?3775 760 507 5186908
?34 041 064 163 210 248 314 336
746 960 355
CAN

Thanks in advance whoever may be able to help,

Nick

That's the 'Option's' plate and decoding it is a mystery to me too.

HAD = HA Deluxe Saloon

20 possibly ? Would align with the engine prefix of 20

?3775 = Job Number

L= Luton Plant

(Colour ) 760=Cavalry Fawn (P.V.C Trim) 507 =Grey Beige

Chassis Number = 5186908

OPTIONS (Asterix indicates I have taken this information from HB or HC option lists as they are not written down in the HA section)
?34 (Guessing 034) = Miles speedometer on LHD vehicles ( export only )*
041 = Heavy Duty Air Cleaner *
064 Not Sure
163 Not Sure
210 = Laminated Windscreen
248 = Larger Battery Capacity
314 = Seal, clutch fork slot*
336 = Safety Catch For Front Seats
746 = Not Sure
960 Not Sure

CAN at a guess is Canada :D

Thanks for the help,

The color code of 760 - Calvary Dawn surprises me because the car is blue but there is a beige paint under it which I thought was a factory primer coat.

No Problem,

A wire brush might clear that plate up a bit more and make the numbers easier to read. A few of those options codes don't seem to exist at all across HA HB or HC, It is almost impossible to decipher them from the photo but you may have better luck in person. Even though it was an export car the numbers should still correlate with the Luton factory options available at the time. 746 did come up as an option but it was for a sliding door on the driver side which makes me question how correct some of those numbers are, but I appreciate it is almost impossible to tell.

I have a genuine GM Canada parts catalogue for HA but it does not have any information at all when it comes to option codes. I dont know how many versions they made though. This is a combined catalogue with HA, FB, FC
