Club Logo.

Hi to all, we need to adapt the club logo to celebrate the 25th year of the club. I would have thought it would not be a good idea to change the logo as it is well known, but we should do something to it for 2007 to show this is a land-mark year for the club. This needs to be done sooner rather than later so that we can start the printing process, so if anybody can help, please come forward We offer no pay and no prize, just the satisfaction of seeing your design on all sorts of VVOC stuff for the next year. I am not good with this sort of thing but I had thought of a silver 25 behind the orriginal logo. We are not looking for the greatest work of art but something that is simple but effective.

If Paul B can send me a gif of the logo used on the top of the pages of the website, I'll have a go with photoshop to put 25 years behind it... That is unless someone else wants a go or it is in hand.

A break from the past would be a great shame as we are celebrating the history of the club. The Viva part of the club logo is as you know the car badge, so I think it is important to keep this. I do think however that as we are also taking the club forward, an adaptation of the logo is important. I like what Steve has done with the colour, as this looks like a party banner, I also like what Paul has done with the 25th aniversary thing, Maybe we could comined the 2 ideas and place the slogan underneat saying something like "TAKING OUR HISTORY INTO THE FUTURE."

Please could somebody try this.

Sorry if anyones been trying to get in touch with me, been away today to RAF Coltishall, emotional closing down ceremony. Free air display. Got to drive my Viva GT down the runway!! The first and last time this had been done. Sent two cracking pictures to Paul Bottomley.

Re: 25th Logo - I suggest leaving our club logo as is but maybe adding a "Silver" border to the words? And a simple 25 anniversary text in red again with silver border?

I will not be here tomorrow, driving up to York to join Sue for evening Christmas party, ( The classy do, just for the big wigs , directors/ execs/ senior magagers at Norwich Union). Given orders - got to behave myself, and the TUX doesn't fit me anymore!

Driving back on Monday, via a photoshoot for Classic car weekly, with my Viva GT alongside Escort Mexico. (Good publicity for club)

I quite like the one Paul did with the 25th banner across the front. It keeps the old logo, and is classy without being over the top... Also, it will be easy to reproduce on stuff.

Paul's has got my vote.
