hi can anyone with a hc Estate please give me the dimmensions [ish] from the back of the front seats to the boot lock striker[catch] and do anyone know what weight the hc Estates can carry in the back?

Max dimension to back of back seat folded down 60.5" add 2.5 if you remove back seat - i.e. to back of front seat
Interior load height 29"
Max gross vehicle weight
(1256) - 3005 lbs (1363 kg) - kerbside weight 1965 lbs (891kgs) = carry weight 1040lbs (472 kgs)
(1800 -2300) - 1474 kgs - kerbside weight 1000kgs = carry weight 474 kgs
so looks like max carrying weight is 474 ish kgs regardless of engine size.
If you are looking for max weight in the back don't forget to extract weight of driver and if present passenger - say 90 kgs each - gives 384 kgs or 294 kgs in the back!Does this give you what you want to know?
By the way managed to salvage fit a pair of those door cards you let me have. They look really good.

NO it's not mine!
Wish it was,and have thought about doing this myself at some point
Found the piccies ages ago on the outlaws website - have no idea who it belongs to.
The lines are absolutely perfect for a pickup on the HC estate, although i thought about possibly using a 4 door saloon as the front doors would then be smaller,giving you a bit more length from the B post to the back of said vehicle - just weld the back doors up

im going to lenghen the bed at the back and fit air bags on the axle so it can carry more
