Hi
Does anyone know a site where I can check an engines ID number to see if it is ligitimate. I am looking at a Lotus twin cam engine and want to try and get clarification on its build date and authenticity etc.

Lotus might be able to tell you something about it, but only from when it was originally made. Anybodys guess what has happened to it in the last twenty or thirty years, though.
