It just looks great- does look tiny in there. Yeah BDA cam covers for that full on period look. :D

Yeah I really like them!
I think it will be a think to change after the car is finished, just to keep cost down for now.

Hi Martyn i'm doing the same conversion at the moment 'well over the past 2 years' a few bits and pieces still to get and i'm ready to fit it. One thing i do need is a sump but to keep cost down i want to make an aluminium one at work. Which brings me to ask how far back does the bowl sit on your sump? and how deep is the bowl? I would really appreciate your help as the retro ford sump's seem to be costly.

Thanks Marty looks good, ive also drew plans up and came to the same measurements. However I decided to modify the existing sump, big winging it tomorrow and it will be finished, il get some photos up.

Hope the sump works out well for you!

Still many things to sort on the engine yet, Need to check that there is enough room for starter motor.

Sorry for the delay, heres the sump after the bowl has been cut back and a big wing added. Its been tested and has no leaks first, i work with aluminium but this was my first time welding cast aluminium.
