Edit; As my comment just started a new page please check black8drivers comment on page one.
There ya go. Pintos must be easier to source than crossflows too. :D

fitting a xflow into a hc is the same as fitting into an escort. use the escort engine mounts, preferably the sport ones as they are stronger but standard will suffice, escort sump, gearbox with mk1 escort 1 piece prop and remove spacer off diff flange. modify gearbox x-member to suit sierra t-9 mount, remove approx 6" from each end of x-member and bolt through floor, remembering to strengthen floor with large theick washers. use escort 4 branch manifold with slight modification where it meets bulkhead. if its a later hc with proper throttle pedal. use capri cable as with clutch cable. modify radiator brackets to suit escort rad. fitting a pinto is slighly more than a weekend job but a better conversion imo. hope this helps

wow, thanks for the detailed reply.

Currently still running Vauxhall powers at the moment but that is certainly food for thought.

Much appreciated. :D

go pinto power. i ran a personal best at the pod of 14.5 @ 94. on sunday. the pinto is a better conversion for todays roads and parts availability. when you're ready give me a shout and i'll tell you what u need and how to fit them. we need more modded viva's on the road lol
