Hi,I would like to know what's the easiest replacement for a 1057cc engine ? Something a little pokier maybe ?best regards,spaceman41

1256 from a HC Viva is probably the easiest. Others can comment on gearbox options to suit.

1057cc engines fit best, as for more poke? Buy a faster car and drive that :D

Thats would be a good fit on a RWD gearbox, but as the tunnel is so low on a HA and the rear axle not able to handle that sort of tourque it would be a full rebuild of the running gear all custom throught. Hense me saying a 1057 fits well :wink:

Ah no I'm not thinking of taking the engine out of my van !!! Lol !! .Just saying I have a second vehicle for work and longer trips etc.Okay so how far can the 1057 be updated?.Like cams and piston upgrades etc?.Rebore maybe?

I'm going to leave car as it is.The engine will be fine and it would be a shame to change anything as these are getting rare.I typed into howmanyleft.co.UK and it said there was 36 of which 14 are scorned.Not sure how accurate that is?.By the way I'm no Barry boy racer either I'm an HGV driver and I see lots of crazy drivers out there on a daily basis
