Yes thankyou for that info, just means the conversion is a bit harder, not impossible.

Earlier in this thread some one suggested that the 265 mm discs might fit within the standard (spaced) or P/M16 callipers. Has anyone followed this up? Does it all fit? :?: :?:

Anyone knows if Ford Escort´s (mk1/) hubs fit to Magnum`s stub axle? Or Volvo 240´s :?:
Escort´s front bearings seems to be same as Hc Vivas.

I seem to have got my impetus back for my viva, and now frantically planning things, can somebody give me 2 dimensions for Renault 21gtx discs that were suggested for the brake conversion, does anybody know the thickness of the disc, 22mm? or bigger,
Thankyou

If you machine 2.8 Capri vented discs down by 3mm diameter you can use Princess or Volvo 4-pots under a 13" rim, it's a very popular mod on club rally Escorts. I did it myself before I went to AP.

I'm on with mine at the moment just waiting for the mounts to be finished, i went for alloy calipers simply because of all the added weight you get by fitting vented and cast calipers,

ok guys thanks for the input, the discs i used are renault 21 savanna discs that are 264mm,drilled the holes in the discs and used shorter 12.9 grade (iirc) bolts the 4 pot bolts straight on with a small spacer.no pad overhang, will not fit behind a steel 13" wheel tho without some relieving of the calliper( not ideal)or a wheel spacer(better)
