Hi Alex, its Ford electric blue. I didnt really like the original blue but I like bright pastel colours so this is going on instead, also means I dont have to change the colour on the V5...
I scraped all the underseal off with a gasket scraper and a blowtorch the used paint stripper and a wire brush to get to bare metal. There were a few bits of surface rust to dig out then it got a coat of proper acid etch, then a coat of white stonechip. You can paint straight on to the stonechip as theres no need to prime.(Taken me 2 months....)
Depends on what you want to do Alex, if you want to tidy it up and dig out some surface rust and put on more underseal I would do it as the car is. If you want to get all the rust,(surprising what you find under sound underseal!!) and get a painted finish then its best to be stripped and turned over, Ive done the whole laying on my back thing...Never again!!! Its not to much trouble to strip a viva, theres not much on them!
