perhaps next summer i'll do it all properly. I do need to get under there and clean off any loose stuff then get it protected. There is a exhaust shop around the corner from me with a ramp outside- i go borrow it :D still going to be really messy. i just look at your car all nice and clean and i want that!

Bit more progress, Ive managed to get the car turned again, fitted the rear axle and made sure my wheels fitted 8) Ive set the diff so the nose points up slightly as you can get strange vibrations if the prop runs straight. Ive also managed to get the engine bay in paint after loads of prep to smooth out the repairs. I did think about welding up all the holes and hiding all the wiring and brake lines but I cant be bothered with the hassle to be honest....
the paint has a fair bit of orange peel (not enough thinners I think) but its nothing some wet and dry and G3 wont sort..... :D

Looking good! it is a nice colour- they suit bright colours i reckon.

when you say you set the diff nose up- have you shortened the upper links or slotted some holes?

Looks fantastic.
What are your next plans for the car?
Three cars, two fire engines, one steam roller, a wheelchair, and various sized hammers.... what could go wrong?!

Thanks Clara, Ive got to prep and paint the inside of the floor and boot now then its onto bodywork and prep for paint....lots of boring filling and sanding.
Once thats done I can get onto the good bits, build my engine and bolt on the shiny bits!!!

Still dont know what Im doing for brakes yet as I using ford front hubs now.

Theres a few bits of dust in it but the finish is much better this time. :D

Got the front suspension together today and rolled it outside, I can wai to get it painted!!

I might have some problems though, Im using Mk1 Escort front hubs so the PCD matches front and rear but I cant find a disc with a shallow enough offset to clear the balljoints. Anyone got any Ideas? Also, because of the hubs the front track is wider and the wheels are going to be real tight under the front wings.
I might just tease the wings out a bit....see what happens!!
Started cleaning the boot ready for paint aswell, some kind person had sprayed the whole boot with waxoyl. Its a right pain to get off, Ive gone through a gallon of petrol and a bag of rags already and Im still not done!
