Managed to make a bit of time to do some work on the Viva this weekend. I finished stripping the inner wing and front panel, welded up all the little holes that dont seem do have any purpose, ( where do they come from?? )

Gave it a coat of etch primer then gave the inner wing and the new wing a good coat of stonechip. Im not sure if Im going to be painting the underneath of this yet, might just do it all in black stonechip then waxoyl it after....

Ive been busy with the Viva lately, getting at least 2 hours a night in so progress is being made!! Ive got the drivers side wing fitted, its a GM panel but it still took a bit of fettling to get the gaps looking good. Ive also managed to get the misses involed with the paint removal. I must be lucky! :D
Its hard going with the nitromors, wire brush and a scraper, but it doesnt damage the metal and the fumes make the time pass quickly!!

Wow! That looks fantastic. Well done!

I wish I had the same level of commitment and ability to do mine. Seems like I've always got something else that just comes above doing the Viva - but that's life.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this progress. :D

Hi mate! yup, girlfriends have their uses!!! :D

Im thinking about painting it the same colour as my old one, Peacock Blue I think its called...
Got a bit more done recently. Finally got the passenger door off then went round all the spot welds on the front wing, gave it a knock and it fell off! why isnt it always that easy?

There is a fair bit of fiberglass stuffed in there so Im now in need of a front wing.

does anyone have one stashed away? Id sell my arm for one, could probably get by with one.... :P
