Sound Proofing Felt

Cos my sound proofing felt fell out when the floor pans fell out,i am stuck what to use next.The floors are back in (Thats drivers and passenger fronts) im looking for the felt that went under the carpet?

Anyone know what i can use,or who can supply the felt stuff.

You can get it from some car accessory shops because I've done that in the past, however I now use carpet underfelt. Easy to get from carpet shops.

Nice and thick and does the job well. Probably cheaper too if you can have a friendly chat and get an off-cut. It looks quite similar to the original stuff but a little bit thicker. Has a sealed side on the stuff I have (like a thin coating). Works well.

do you mean that bitumen type stuff bonded to what appears to be old sack?
most cars have this, take a wander down to your local scrappy!

can't remember how much i have left but iam not using mine :lol:

Last time I did this I used Treadair carpet underlay, glued it down with Bostick, had a headache for a week!! Worked well though.
